Kentucky Pharmacy: A Rising Star in Healthcare—Born from Community, Fueled by Purpose

The New American Business Association Inc. (NABA) proudly celebrates a milestone achievement by one of its most impactful incubated ventures: Kentucky Pharmacy, led by CEO and Pharmacist-in-Charge Vy Truong. Recently honored by Louisville Business First as a 2025 Rising Star/Next Gen Honoree in the Family Business Awards, Kentucky Pharmacy is not only serving Louisville—it is setting a new standard for what healthcare can and should look like statewide and beyond.

NABA has had the privilege of incubating and mentoring Kentucky Pharmacy from the very beginning. What started as a vision to bring true care and true access to underserved communities has become a flourishing independent pharmacy model rooted in love, family, and public service. And now, that commitment has earned front-page recognition in one of Kentucky’s most respected business publications.

More Than a Pharmacy—A Movement

Kentucky Pharmacy is redefining healthcare in Kentucky by putting patients first and profits second. In an age where national chains are pulling out of vulnerable communities, this immigrant-owned, woman-led pharmacy is expanding its services—offering direct pharmacist access by text, home delivery, immunizations, multilingual support, and culturally responsive care.

Its founder, Dr. Vy Truong, who once managed some of the busiest CVS and Walgreens locations in the city, knew there was a better way to serve. NABA proudly supported her mission, helping build not just a business, but a healthcare movement powered by empathy, resilience, and equity.

“We launched not in convenience, but in crisis,” Vy shared. “When others couldn’t continue, we began—because care is never optional.”

The Role of Media and Community

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Louisville Business First for not only recognizing Kentucky Pharmacy’s achievements but for consistently uplifting small businesses and immigrant entrepreneurs across Louisville. Especially in an AI-driven age where human connection is often lost, LBF continues to build a family of small business leaders—a circle where few words are needed, because we all understand each other’s purpose: to serve.

As NABA continues to incubate mission-driven ventures across sectors—from healthcare and beauty to education and housing—Kentucky Pharmacy stands as a shining example of what happens when community, compassion, and commerce align.

We are deeply honored to be part of their journey and cannot wait to see how far they will go—from Louisville neighborhoods to state-level leadership and beyond.
